About CannabisDrugTest.org — Our Mission
CannabisDrugTest.org exists because the people facing cannabis drug tests deserve honest, evidence-based information — not marketing for products that do not work, not folklore that can hurt them, and not moralistic lectures from people who do not have to live with the consequences.
What This Site Is
This site is a free, comprehensive, evidence-based educational resource covering every major question about cannabis drug testing in the United States. It includes:
- The pharmacology of THC and its metabolites
- How every type of drug test actually works
- Realistic, research-grounded detection windows by usage pattern
- Honest evidence reviews of every method people use to clear cannabis from their systems
- State-by-state workplace testing law for all 50 states plus D.C.
- Federal rules (SAMHSA, DOT, DFWA, EO 12564, military)
- Specific guidance for high-stakes situations (probation, custody, sports, security clearance)
- How to handle CBD and Delta-8 products that can cause positive tests
- Your rights when you fail a drug test
- Crisis support and legal help resources
Every major claim on this site is grounded in peer-reviewed research, federal agency documents, or primary legal sources. Citations are linked where possible.
What This Site Is Not
- It is not a product seller. We do not sell drug tests, detox products, synthetic urine, hemp products, legal services, or anything else. We do not earn affiliate commissions on product sales.
- It is not a how-to-cheat guide. We provide harm reduction information about practices like dilution and synthetic urine, but we do not provide cheat instructions. We tell you the legal risks, the detection methods, and the realistic outcomes — and we recommend evidence-based alternatives.
- It is not pro- or anti-cannabis. Our position is that adults should have honest information to make their own decisions. Some people will read this site and conclude they should stop using cannabis. Others will conclude that they can continue. Both decisions are theirs to make.
- It is not legal advice. Legal questions in your specific situation require a qualified attorney. We provide general information and pointers to resources.
- It is not medical advice. Medical questions about cannabis use and your specific health require a qualified healthcare provider.
Why We Built This
The cannabis drug test information landscape on the internet is dominated by two kinds of content:
- Product marketing — sites selling detox drinks, synthetic urine, "guaranteed" cleansers, and other products with no scientific support. Most "review" sites are paid affiliates of these products.
- Drug war moralizing — content that treats cannabis use as a character flaw rather than as a real situation that millions of Americans navigate.
Neither serves the actual audience: people facing real drug tests who need accurate information to make real decisions. The pharmacological reality of cannabis testing is well-documented in peer-reviewed research, but that research is not packaged for ordinary readers facing real consequences. We packaged it.
Our Editorial Standards
- Peer-reviewed citations for all major scientific claims
- Federal agency sources for regulatory claims
- Primary legal sources for statutes and court cases
- No product sales — we have no financial relationship with any drug testing company, lab, detox vendor, or affiliate program
- No paid placements — nothing on this site is for sale to advertisers
- Quarterly review of major content for accuracy and currency
- Corrections welcomed — if you find an error, please contact us
